About us<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

REGENN connects scholars in religious studies and theology who are based in the Netherlands and whose research focuses on issues relating to religion and gender, race\/ethnicity, sexuality, age, class, etc. It is a platform for exchange of ideas, as well as a welcoming community that offers mutual support for junior and senior scholars who work from a feminist, queer, postcolonial, critical race and\/or intersectional perspective. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim is to offer a platform for exchange to critical scholars of religion, who may sometimes find themselves isolated in their institutions, or who as external or independent researchers may benefit from meeting others who apply similar theories and methods. Next, REGENN is a place to be informed about cutting edge research currently conducted in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What we do<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Several times per year, REGENN organizes online lectures which are accessible for both members and non-members. In addition, there is the unique annual study week (usually the first week of January), when the members come together for a one-week writing and reading retreat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
